Transformer Spare Parts Manager

Description As the Aftermarket Parts Manager (APM) at Hitachi Energy Transformer Service, you strive for the best customer experience, both for our internal/external customers and your Parts team members.
You will supervise the Parts Department, actively building your team through hiring, training, and developing Parts team members skills.
Behind the scenes, you manage the quoting, pricing, ordering, product supply, and shipping to ensure your team can meet external customer expectations.
You will work with other managers to foster teamwork between the Parts and Service departments.
This position will manage individuals at multiple factory sites across the USA.
Preferred location to report into the Earth City, MO headquarters for the Transformer Service business, but open to being a hybrid remote/onsite opportunity at other Hitachi Energy locations.
General
Responsibilities:
Takes an active role in providing a safe and healthy work environment within the group and various site locations.
Ensures safe, clean, and orderly work environment which follow Hitachi Energy procedures.
Perform SOT's and Hazard observations per TRES annual requirement.
Works with the Marketing & Sales Manager to develops business plans, departmental goals, set pricing levels, and campaigns which promote growth and provide an opportunity for the department to stretch beyond the status quo.
Monitors actual performance against those goals and adjusts price and operational parameters to provide the best chance of meeting plan.
Has primary responsibility to grow sales within the parts group and a secondary responsibility to assist in the sales growth of the service team.
Monitors Key Performance Indicators and associated reports for variances.
Using this data make changes to operational practices to correct deficiencies and improve performance.
Maintains bowlers to demonstrate progress on the KPI.
Responsible for creating an atmosphere within the department that generates a high level of Customer Experience.
This includes resolving customer disputes which ensure fair value for the customer and company.
This also includes responding to CCRP's from FES on customer complaint issues.
Determines and reacts to the needs of the department relating to safety, training, and personnel levels.
Maintains close cooperation and communication with TRES Service team and FES departments regarding their needs in order to maximize parts availability.
Performs additional duties as assigned by Marketing & Sales Manager/General Manager Transformer Service to include special projects and in-house related corporate initiatives.
Learns to performs all duties required of salaried employees to include quoting, pricing, ordering, product supply, and shipping.
Plus utilizing the appropriate tools including SAP, Spine, and other programs to perform the work.

Supervisory Duties Responsibility of all aspects of Parts Department Supervision, including but not limited to, recruiting talent, employee relations, individual development, performance measuring, coaching, technical training, disciplinary action and termination.
Screen, interview and hire employees for department.
Provide regular and timely feedback of positive customer experience, performance accomplishments to the Marketing & Sales Manager.
Provide yearly performance reviews and identify opportunities and develop a plan for employees to reach their next level of proficiency.
Select, train and develop employees consistent with department/division goals, providing coaching on career development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of supervisory experience; OR associate degree and 7 years of supervisory experience; OR High School Diploma/GED and 9 years of supervisory experience Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
Minimum 3 years of aftermarket sales preferred.
Experience interacting with direct customers preferred.
Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills highly preferred Demonstrated background in troubleshooting and problem-solving skills highly preferred.
Engineering experience is preferred.
Experience with performing employee reviews and assessments preferred.
Ability to travel up to 25% preferred.
Experience in planning systems, such as SAP, and business intelligence tools (PowerBI, etc.
