General information:
Hitachi Energy is seeking a Quality Engineer for its Crystal Springs, MS location.
This role is responsible for auditing, monitoring, and determining the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards.
Reporting and troubleshooting manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods.
A Senior Professional applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
Responsibilities:
Follow the safe work practices, comply with Hitachi Energy policies and procedures, proper and safe use of equipment & tools, and identify & report unsafe working conditions.
Define and develop quality assurance programs to ensure conformance to codes and regulations.
Create and maintain the documentation of ISO 9001:
2015 Quality Management System.
Coordinate internal & external ISO 9001 QMS audits, follow up corrective actions and inspections for system & product conformance to quality requirements.
Recommend measures to optimize operations while maintaining quality.
Participate in the investigation of technical problems, as well as the establishment of procedures and CAPA (Corrective And Preventative Actions) to avoid recurrences.
Your background:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering OR related experience and a minimum 2 years of years of professional experience working in engineering, manufacturing, and/or quality.
Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
Strong analytical skills, especially with data analysis, is heavily preferred - proven experience working with failure analysis, FMEA (Failure Modes & Effects Analysis), FMECA (Failure Modes, Effects, & Criticality Analysis), test engineering, and/or product reliability is a plus.
Recent experience working with data-driven analytical methodologies for industrial quality applications - especially Statistical Process Control SPC , Six Sigma, Process Capability (Cp, CpK), and/or Process Performance (Pp, PpK) Analysis.
Experience working with Process Improvement and/or Continuous Improvement practices (e.
g.
Kaizen, 4Q, DMAIC, Gemba/Genba, Root-Cause Analysis RCA ; etc.
).
Resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely manner.
Recent professional experience working in Quality Engineering functions - experience working in Quality Control in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Certification in ISO 9001:
2015 as an internal auditor or lead auditor and knowledge of CSA N299.
2 standard is preferred.
