ManpowerGroup is currently seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to help support our client's team. This is a temporary assignment that will last approximately one year. The pay rate is $21/hr based on experience. BASIC
Job Description: Manufacturing Supervisor for steel fabrication department. Support production of transformer tanks, needs working knowledge of welding, layout, fabricating, and inspection of weldments. Supervise employees engaged in activities related to fabrication and painting operations. Resolve or participate in technical and logistics problems typically related to work flow and design issues. Work to develop and implement measures to improve operations and customer relations. Duties/
Responsibilities: Supervise daily activities of staff. Document and execute daily planning to meet production schedules and assign work, considering requirements and priorities. Initiate actions to minimize delays and loss of productivity. Ensure that employees are properly trained and work is performed timely in accordance with quality, health and safety requirements. Manage and document employee performance and develop associated recommendations. Required: Requires knowledge of mechanical drawings, BOM's, welding, and paint. Ability to execute daily and weekly tasks for production but also including 5S, EHS, operator training, performance improvement plans with minimal direct supervision. Supervisor must actively engage operators in supporting company objective and goals. Requires daily effective timely communication with staff and supporting departments.
Qualifications: Preferred Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technical related manufacturing field plus up to 5 years of experience. Alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
